• I am enjoying this series of books immensely and this one by one of my favorite authors, I thoroughly enjoyed. I love a strong heroine and the author gave us one in Rosemary. She had to be, to stay one step ahead of Mortimer Crane, the dastardly owner of the mine where Rosemary's husband, Jack was killed, along with many others in the mine accident. I enjoyed the storyline and the strong characters, especially Miles, our hero, who travels to visit Rosemary and tell her about the Jack he knew as a good friend. This book has the romance, a little suspense, bumbling bad men, one who had me laughing by the name of Hector, that lead to a hard earned HEA. JudyE
• An action story with a touch of sweetness. Rosemary has experienced loss and is worried about having enough money but proves she can rise above her troubles with smart decisions. That she also finds a good-hearted man to help with her strife is a definite bonus. Great setting details and complex characterizations kept me reading.
• Great story about an assayer who finds more than gold. Great characters and an action-filled plot kept me reading. This is a must read.

• Rosemary is a widow with a assay office to run. But Mr Crane is going to take it all away if she can't pay the rent and find a husband. She decided to look for a lost mine. Her horse bites her and runs away. She comes upon two minors who are set to hurt her. She runs and then Mike's is there to save her. But she ends up saving him. Miles is her ex husband 's friend. He has come to pay his condolences to her. When he heard Mr Crane threatening her, he decided he will marry her and pay her rent. Then she finds out the her ex husband had been an outlaw, who Miles had helped to go straight. It seems every one wants her assay book, so she hides it. When she goes looking for the mine again, there are five men waiting for her. So Miles jumps in to save her, but she has to save him again. He leaves to take the one man he has been after for years to Salt Lake city to jail. She is afraid that he is done with her. He comes back and they Dr is a they can't live without the other.
• Rosemary has been lied to her whole life. First her father, then her husband Jack. After losing Jack in the mine collapse Mortimer Crane is after her, just like all of the other widows. Miles comes to town to meet Rosemary and ends up staying. And lies to Rosemary, helping keep her memory of her husband intact. But she discovers her husband was a criminal who saved undercover lawman Miles from being killed by the rest of the gang. Specifically Jack's brother, who had murdered Miles' brother.
• I think Rosemary may be one of my favorites in the Widows of Wildcat Ridge series. Of course I love all of Kristy McCaffreys books! Rosemary is a tough leading lady in this one and I love it that she doesn’t back down to anything. I hope you don’t miss out on this one!
• Miles is an ex-US Marshall and RoseMary is the widow of Jack/Johnny in Wildcat Ridge. Miles comes to town and ends up marrying RoseMary to protect her from Mortimer Craine, the town nemesis. They are both deceitful about much of their history. Will they finally find their way to happiness and ever lasting love? You will enjoy this book.
