The color illustrations are beautiful, and many are quite large. The book includes samples of all of the Louvre's collections and makes a very good souvenir. I have many other books about the Louvre, most more comprehensive than this one, but I still find this book worth having. Some of the illustrations here are larger than those in larger format, more comprehensive books. Nice way to prepare for your visit.
